We Love A Dog Day Afternoon at Mellen & Jayne
Bark for Life is a fundraising event held by the American Cancer Society where families and their dogs complete
a one mile walk to honor the care giving qualities of their canine "Best Friends" and cancer survivors.
There are also lots of other things to do — the events and entertainment include doggie games and contests,
raffles, music and food, special guest dog demonstrations, and more.
Bark for Life requires both planning and promotional support. Each year, mellen & jayne donate their time and services by creating brochures, posters, event journals, signage, and more for this event. Principals also sit on
the planning board, which has just had its first meeting of 2012. They report that progress is well under way for
the May 6th event, and it is sure to be a "don't miss" day for dog lovers.
